Test kit of clostridial vaccines strength and of diagnostic enterotoxaemia with ELISA application
Project 432
Problem to be solved:
• Lengthy, expensive in vivo tests, with not always reliable results
• Improve the quality control of animal vaccines conducted by the pharmaceutical industry and the supervisory bodies of the quality of vaccines
Proposed Innovation:
New method to test the strength of vaccines for several animal species, such as cattle, goats and sheep
Differential:
• Novel in vitro testing with ELISA with results that are more reliable.
• Substantial reduction of animal use.
• Faster and cheaper test.
• Reduction in vaccine production cost by industries that could use more diluted seed lots
Development status:
Laboratory prototype
